This project was created for a filmmaking challenge issued by a YouTube channel called Film Riot. The challenge was to create a one minute short film about anything you want, so long as it was not documentary style, and it was scored using an app that the contest was sponsored by: Filmstro
My idea for the project came from a period of inner reflection that I was going through at the time. I felt that I was caught in a creative box, and that all of my efforts were just bouncing off the walls of the box my mind was confined to. After some serious consideration of thinking whether or not I was crazy for attempting to become a filmmaker, it occurred to me that I am just in high school, and that the potential for doing great things in the future is what keeps me going. And so the premise of the short was laid.
This project also marks the first project that I worked on with my production partner Caleb Long. The short was shot in one day, and edited in a week.
