This is the Short Film I made as my submission to the My Rode Reel competition for 2020. The competition has been held for the past 7 years, and the competition gets more intense in volume and quality every single year.
As I mention in the Behind The Scenes video below, this project idea came to me as a flash of inspiration in the middle of the night; I wanted to tell the story of someone trying their hardest to get out of the rut of life they're in, by stepping back and enjoying the small things in life like riding fast down a hill on your bike.
As also mentioned in the behind the scenes video, this is definitely the most complex project I've been involved with. I wrote, directed, edited, and produced this project from front to back, and I loved every single minute of it.
This film means a lot to my development as a filmmaker, and I'm very grateful to the crew that helped me make this project a reality! Take a look at the IMDb listing to see more production pictures and ratings for the film. If the contest is still live at the time of you reading this (before November of 2020), go watch and vote for the film at https://myrodereel.com/watch/10080/
