The Filmmaker's Toolbox was a project series designed to explore small vignettes of bigger scenes, that are "standard" in Hollywood movies. They were going to be short 3 to 5 minute shorts displaying how we would film a particular scene with no budget and the skills and materials accessible to high school students. Ten scripts were written to cover different subjects, like a dramatic scene, or a scene that shows passage of time.
The first area I wanted to explore in this series was a basic interrogation scene. Not much story behind it, just really an exercise in dramatic lighting and camera setup.
Eventually I stopped making the series, because I got involved in other bigger projects, and these small ideas kind of fell by the wayside. Maybe one day they will come back, but for now, they are just scripts from a high school student, sitting in a folder waiting to be re-opened.
