Every year my high school class; Academy Vibe, partakes in a 10 day film challenge, hosted by http://www.tendayfilm.org/ to competing high schools all over the country.
The goal is simple: to challenge high school students to use the resources they have, and go through all parts of making a film across the course of 10 days. The contest rules are outlined in detail on the website, but in essence our team had to go from pre-production, all the way to finished product, in 2 business weeks, and we are not allowed to work on the project outside of school hours.
Last year's submission our team gave was "Becky 27" . I had a smaller role on that project as just the cinematographer. This time around, I was in charge of Directing and Producing the film for our team. On top of that, I assisted in writing the screenplay, getting some of the shots, and some of the final editing.
The project was ranked in the Top 30 out of 300 entries in this region of the competition. It was up against films from high schools in many different states and countries
